Meet Barry J. Morse, BS, DDS, MPH
Dentist in Montvale, New Jersey
Although I have been practicing dentistry since 1992, my interest in dentistry started as a 9 year old patient for my first personal dentist in downtown Miami, Florida where I grew up as a child. I was born in Mount Sinai Hospital New York and lived here in Bergen County New Jersey until I was about 6 years old when my parents moved us down to Miami Florida. When I look back, this was the moment I became interested in dentistry as a career and lifelong passion. My initial experiences with my dentist as a child was more profound than I imagined at the time.
I attended the University of Florida and received my Bachelor’s degree in Zoology/Microbiology. I then decided to come home of sorts and attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and also dual enrolled with the School of Public Health where in 1992 I was one of the first professional students to earn a dual dental and master’s degree in 4 years.
I pride myself in being dedicated, professional, caring, and compassionate when treating patients. I have considerable dental experience spanning 30 years, but the way I treat the whole person is what differentiates me from other practitioners. I take hundred(s) of hours of continuing education every year. I have taken an implant surgical one year residency and have restored dental implants since 1992. I take continuing education in all areas of dentistry and am update on all clinical as well as scientific findings in all aspects of dentistry including: pediatric, restorative, dental materials, cosmetic, endodontic, periodontics.
My philosophy of patient centered care has been my primary guiding principle since graduation in 1992 and remains the case today. My experiences and education has taught me to render care to a patient based on sound scientific principles catered to each individuals personal needs resulting in highly predictable, functional, comfortable long lasting restorative/cosmetic clinical outcomes. Prevention and oral home health care still remains the cornerstone for long lasting healthy smiles that can last a life time.
I have been truly blessed, both personally and professionally, to have treated so many nice people in the Bergen County area for greater than 20 years. I have been awarded the Consumers Research Council America’s Best Dentist award for 2015-2021 based on patient satisfaction surveys. I was also just awarded the prestigious NJ state Top Docs and will be featured in the 22021 issue coming out January/February of 2022. The third year in a row.
I met my wife Nathalie in dental school and have been married for 30 years. I have been blessed with three kids Alex 27, Emilie 23, Christopher 19. I spend a lot of my personal time being a dad to them and a husband to my wife. I love sports either being a spectator or a participant. I have been known to pick up a bat or a golf club on weekends if weather and my time allows for it. I love to read and will always have a book or magazine nearby. I spend a lot of time at the gym to keep myself as healthy as possible. My wife has been my cornerstone and anchor for the 30+ years I have known her. Besides my immediate family she is the person directly responsible for all the good things I have enjoyed both personally and professionally.
